I’ll be honest: I’m happily addicted to my GOforever lifestyle.
My husband and I have both completed Ironman triathlons, multiple marathons and century rides while raising our children who are now 23, 21 and 20. Juggling family life, my personal athletic goals and a new business has been daunting–and it has required infinite energy…
If I had to pick one thing, I’d say I started making GOforever bars 5 years ago because I just never had enough time. I wasn’t properly fueling before, during and after my workouts, and my kids regularly left for school without eating breakfast. All the bars I tried were expensive and had man-made supplements that I’d prefer to avoid. (And what’s up with how gross most energy bars look??) I wanted something that looked and tasted delicious and that I felt good about eating on my bike and on my way to work.
I’ve revised the recipe for GOforever bars at least a dozen times, always striving for ideal nutritional goals. I hope you enjoy what I’ve come up with. And as always, GOforever!
